Male Eyelid Surgery in Korea
Male eyelid surgery should improve function or tired appearance while preserving a natural crease, brow position and masculine facial identity.
A small-looking or tired eye may result from skin, a low brow, true ptosis, orbital anatomy, asymmetry or habitual forehead use. A crease procedure alone may not address the cause.
A visible concern does not always have a single cause. The first consultation should identify the underlying anatomy, tissue characteristics, previous treatment and the outcome the patient actually expects.
- True eyelid ptosis
- Excess upper-eyelid skin
- Low eyebrow or brow descent
- Absent or low eyelid crease
- Asymmetry
- Previous eyelid surgery or scarring
- Non-incisional crease formationCreates a crease with sutures in selected eyelids.
- Incisional double-eyelid surgeryAllows skin, fat and structural adjustment.
- Ptosis correctionAdjusts eyelid-elevating structures when true ptosis is present.
- Upper blepharoplastyRemoves or repositions excess skin in ageing eyelids.
- Brow lift or sub-brow procedureMay be considered when brow descent rather than eyelid skin is dominant.
- Revision surgeryMay address asymmetry, high crease, scarring or incomplete function.
Suitable candidates have a stable concern and understand the desired crease height and degree of visible change. Functional symptoms and dry eye should be assessed before surgery.
Perfect symmetry is not guaranteed. A high or deep crease can feminise or change identity. Ptosis correction may improve eyelid opening but can alter exposure, dryness and asymmetry.
Sutures, swelling and visible bruising influence travel planning. Patients need instructions for eye lubrication, cold compresses, sleeping, work, exercise and signs requiring prompt review.
Usually several days to more than one week depending on incision, suture removal and review.

- What crease height suits my anatomy and goal?
- How will forehead compensation and dry eye be assessed?
- Is the procedure incisional or non-incisional?
- When are sutures removed?
- What degree of asymmetry is realistic?
