Gynecomastia surgery vs liposuction

中立的な比較。現実的な期待。強要はしません。

結論

Liposuction removes fat but often cannot remove the firm glandular tissue beneath the areola; gland excision removes that tissue through an incision. If a chest is mainly fat, liposuction may be enough; if firm gland is present, excision is usually needed, and many men have a combination of both. Examination decides which applies.

主な違い

  • Target tissue: liposuction addresses fat; gland excision addresses firm glandular tissue.
  • Incision and scar: liposuction uses small access points; excision uses an incision, often at the areolar border.
  • Residual fullness: liposuction alone can leave a firm disc under the nipple if gland is present.
  • Combination: the two are frequently done together rather than as either/or.

それぞれで変えられること

Gland excision (surgery): Gland excision can remove firm glandular tissue that liposuction leaves behind, flattening the area under the areola.

Liposuction: Liposuction can reduce fatty fullness and help contour the chest and its borders.

持続性と可逆性

Removed gland does not grow back, but weight gain, medication, hormones or anabolic-steroid use can change the chest again. A stable weight and cause assessment matter for a lasting result.

回復の目安

Compression garments and activity restriction are common. Drain removal, wound review, showering, exercise and flying timing are decided by the surgeon. International patients should not leave Korea before the recommended early assessment.

現実的な期待

Surgery can flatten and reshape the chest, but symmetry and scar quality vary. Distinguishing gland from fat before surgery is the main driver of a good result.

限界と不確実性

The right approach is individual and depends on examination; imaging or pathology may be advised in selected cases. No single technique fits every chest.
