Before a consultation

Questions to ask a clinic

Bring these questions to a consultation. Clear, specific answers — including about what is uncertain — are a good sign.

01 The procedure

  • What exactly will be done, and what will it change — girth, length, or shape?
  • What material will be used, and is it appropriate for this area?
  • Is the effect temporary or long-lasting, and can it be reversed?

02 Evidence and expectations

  • What does published evidence show for this specific procedure?
  • What result is realistic for my anatomy, and what is not possible?
  • How is a “natural” result defined and assessed here?

03 Risks and follow-up

  • What are the most common and the most serious complications?
  • If I am unhappy or have a complication, what is the revision pathway?
  • How will complications be managed after I return to my country?
  • Who do I contact urgently, and how quickly can I be seen?
